Carylon L. Alexander

Carylon L. Alexander, Director of Business Development, joins the Div2000.com management team after more than fifteen years as an award-winning entrepreneur and CEO of MRC Resources Group, Inc. Under her leadership, MRC achieved recognition from The Women's Enterprise Magazine as a "Top 50" woman-owned business in the state of Texas, was ranked the sixth largest minority owned business in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area by The Dallas Business Journal and as one of the "top 5" minority government contracting firms in the country by Black Enterprise Magazine.

Ms. Alexander grew up in North West Texas and became involved in two of her family's businesses at age ten. Upon graduating from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California with a degree in Psychology, she began her career in banking. After acquiring experience in many aspects of business as a banker, she left her position as a Regional Manager to began the development of the first of several successful business enterprises.

Ms. Alexander has received regional and national recognition for her achievements in businesses including the "Entrepreneur of the Year" award presented by Inc. Magazine, "The Small Business Award for Growth and Stability" from the Greater Dallas Chamber of Commerce and the "Women of Excellence Award" presented by The Women's Enterprise Magazine. Her expertise in developing business opportunities through strategic alliances and partnerships, and the ability to relay her enthusiasm to others, has made her a much sought after speaker and business consultant. She has appeared on numerous business panels and a nationally syndicated talk show addressing issues relative to women in business. Her business achievements were recently highlighted in a book, Cases of Women who have Won, a mentoring book, featuring successful female entrepreneurs and professionals.

Ms. Alexander's civic responsibilities include a mayoral appointment to the board of The Dallas County Work Force Commission. She has also served as an Executive Board Member of the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Advisory Board for the Young Women's Club of America and on the Board of Directors for St. Philip's Community School. In the past year, she served as a volunteer for The Living Room, a day respite for homeless women and children in Northern California.
