Kmart Vendor Business Proposal Process
Our corporate strategy necessitates that all vendors have a clear understanding that we at Kmart have a fundamental business requirement to exceed the expectations for our customers, stores, business partners, and ultimately our shareholders. It is imperative that any new business proposal be centered on what type of strategic advantage your company can provide.
Kmart’s approach to reviewing the vendor business proposals is as follows:
- Vendor candidate completes the vendor proposal form found on kmart.com under the Vendor Resources link
- Kmart will acknowledge receipt of proposal and provide a targeted review date or will notify vendor candidate that no opportunity exists
- Proposal will presented to purchasing organization within the given time frame
- Arrange follow-up meeting with vendor candidate if purchasing organization is interested in product or service
- Notify vendor candidate of final status
We are committed to making sure our vendor candidates are informed of the status of their proposal, therefore all vendor proposals are maintained in a vendor database. This database will ensure our ability to follow up on proposals in a timely manner.
