Present Small Business Breakfast

DETROIT, MI /diversitybusiness.com/ Comerica and the Greater Detroit Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) will host a free breakfast program on Wednesday, April 17 from 8:30 to 10 a.m., at Comerica's Southfield Tower, located on Telegraph Road, just north of 12 Mile Road.

The program's featured guest speaker is Barbara Stanbridge, president and owner of CHANGE-Human Resource Development and immediate past national NAWBO president. She'll share her insights on organizational change, including the importance of:

  • increasing leadership and group effectiveness,
  • improving employee participation,
  • and managing and implementing positive change.

"We're proud to be able to provide an opportunity for women business owners to learn techniques to be more successful," says Tari Schwartz, vice president of Comerica's Southeast Michigan Small Business Financial Center and manager of Comerica's Women Business Enterprise Initiative. "Our partnership with NAWBO has helped us identify critical issues for today's women business owners and create programs that will help them successfully address these issues and continue to grow."

This program is part of a series of "Power Breakfast" seminars offered by Comerica's Women Business Enterprise Initiative and the Greater Detroit Chapter of NAWBO. Comerica's Women Business Enterprise Initiative was developed to help the bank better meet the needs of women entrepreneurs by providing them business opportunities, like the Power Breakfast seminars. These seminars were created to educate women on ways to manage their businesses more effectively and develop new strategies for success.
