SDI Selected by Dell to Deliver a Global BPO for Consulting Services
Ft. Lauderdale, FL May 20, 2010 / -- Through an agreement fully executed in March of 2010, Dell has selected SDI International (SDI) to deliver a Global Managed Services Program administering Consulting Services commodity areas. The program—initiated to streamline the management of PO-driven Consultancy engagements from the purchase requisition and approval phase all the way to final supplier remittance—has helped Dell realize both process enhancements and hard cost savings.

Dell IT (USA) has served as the initial pilot program, under which all POs are issued to the SDI clearinghouse program and administered by our global teams located not only on Dell’s infrastructure, but also at SDI’s Centers of Excellence (COEs) in North America, South America, Western and Eastern Europe, and Asia. Our teams will administratively manage the entire life cycle of consultancy for Dell once fully implemented.

To provide immediate value to Dell through our Pilot Program, SDI:

Standardized the onboard services for consultancy suppliers; Distributes finalized, approved POs to suppliers; Acts as the single source, clearinghouse for all invoice activity and billing issue resolution; Reduces the time to process and distribute POs for an enhanced supplier experience; Delivers more efficient data capture, reporting and spend analytics; and Relieves managers from performing invoicing and month-end data entry.
