NEW YORK CITY, Sep 21 /DiversityBusiness.com/ -- I am pleased to announce that Greta Davis has been promoted to Executive Director of Supplier Diversity.
Since joining Time Warner Corporate in 2002, Greta has done an outstanding job in developing and implementing a national supplier diversity program, and in expanding the company’s business opportunities and strengthening corporate partnerships with minority- and women-owned business enterprises (MWBEs).
Under Greta’s leadership, the supplier diversity team has launched a number of new initiatives which represent many firsts for Time Warner, including a robust web site and database of MWBE suppliers, a greatly expanded outreach program, integration of supplier diversity into the collaborative procurement process, and an enterprise-wide training and education program. Greta oversees a supplier diversity task force made up of representatives from each of the divisions. She also serves as Time Warner’s primary liaison with the MWBE community, increasing the company’s visibility through partnerships with national organizations. Greta has been recognized by many publications and organizations for her advocacy for minority business development.
In addition to her current responsibilities, Greta is launching a formal national second-tier program to encourage our prime suppliers to subcontract to MWBE suppliers, where appropriate, on Time Warner contracts.
Greta’s career at Time Warner began in 1989 with TBS, where she was responsible for developing the supplier diversity initiative.
