DiversityBusiness.com has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for Diversity 2000 and the DiversityBusiness.com website.

In order to have full access to the all of the features, of this site, DiversityBusiness.com may require you to be or become a DiversityBusiness.com member. When and if you register to become a member, you agree to the following: (a) WHEN REGISTERING AS A SUPPLIER OR SMALL BUSINESS, (someone whose business is to supply products/commodities and/or services to another company); ACKNOWLEDGE AND STATE THAT YOU ARE a "small business" AS SET FORTH BY THE STANDARDS, RULES, REGULATIONS AND APPLICABLE LAWS OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. (b) provide accurate, current, and complete information about yourself as prompted by our registration form (including your email address) and (c) to maintain and update your information (including your email address) to keep it accurate, current, and complete. You acknowledge that, if any information provided by you is untrue, inaccurate, not current, or incomplete, we reserve the right to terminate this Agreement and your use of the Site.

As part of the registration process, you will be asked to select a Member ID and password. We may refuse to grant you a Member ID that impersonates someone else, is or may be illegal, is or may be protected by trademark or other proprietary rights law(s), is vulgar or otherwise offensive, or may cause confusion, as determined by us in our sole discretion. You will be responsible for the confidentiality and use of your Member ID and password and agree not to transfer or resell your use of or access to the Site to any third party. If you have reason to believe that your account with us is no longer secure, you must promptly change your password by updating your account information and immediately notify us of the problem by contacting us. You are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your DiversityBusiness Member ID and Password and entirely responsible for any and all activities (including purchases as applicable) that are conducted through your account.

DiversityBusiness.com reserves the right to contact a registered user regarding account status, changes to this agreement and other matters relevant to the underlying service and/or the information collected.

DiversityBusiness.com reserves the right to perform statistical analyses of user behavior and characteristics in order to measure interest in and use of the various areas of the site, and to inform advertisers of such information as well as the number of users that have been exposed to or clicked on their advertising banners. DiversityBusiness will provide only aggregated data from these analyses to third parties. DiversityBusiness is not responsible for any actions or policies of such third parties and users should check the applicable privacy policy of such party when providing personally identifiable information. Registrants should be aware that certain users may be given exclusive rights to use of your info for their purposes; this may include but is not limited to: Contacting you regarding goods and services; contacting you regarding their goods and services. You may also receive periodic information from DiversityBusiness.com. This information may be in the following forms, but is not limited to: monthly newsletters; press releases regarding DiversityBusiness.com, their sponsor Computer Consulting Associates International Inc., or other relevant press releases dealing with major multicultural issues; mass mailings to notify registrants of new features and uses available at DiversityBusiness.com, or for any use DiversityBusiness.com sees fit. Your information may be used for targeted marketing purposes to help promote business with diversity suppliers and buyers. The personal data you enter belongs solely to DiversityBusiness.com, and DiversityBusiness.com reserves all rights to this voluntarily given information. Please note that this data is made publicly available, and is used for promoting business with your company, and DiversityBusiness.com assumes no responsibility for loss or misuse of information by a third party.

Registrants under no circumstances may use DiversityBusiness.com Data for their own mass mailing/marketing purposes. If a registered user of DiversityBusiness.com is deemed by the DiversityBusiness.com staff to have performed spam, or other such activities NOT condoned by DiversityBusiness.com, the users priveleges will be revoked, entry in the DiversityBusiness database removed and future priveleges revoked regardless of Premium Membership status or payment. All payments made to DiversityBusiness.com are final, no refunds will be issued to any person or organization that has abused the priveleges of the data available.

Additionally, users should be aware that when they voluntarily disclose personally identifiable information (e.g., user name, e-mail address) on the bulletin boards or in the chat areas of the DiversityBusiness sites, that information, along with any substantive information disclosed in the user's communication, can be collected and correlated and used by third parties and may result in unsolicited messages from other posters or third parties. Such activities are beyond the control of DiversityBusiness.

The DiversityBusiness.com website also logs IP addresses for systems administration purposes, and to help identify you. IP addresses and/or domain names, as well as information about your computer, such as the browser, operating system, and the home server from which you access the Internet are logged to track a user's session. This gives DiversityBusiness an idea of which parts of our site users are visiting. We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our Web site. This Site Gathers/Tracks aggregate information site-wide, including anonymous site stats. On certain pages such as the DiversityBusiness.com Registration Form, we give users the option of providing us with names, addresses, phone numbers, fax numbers, email addresses, demographic, preference and other personal information, and various other kinds of details. We do not gather this more personal information without users’ knowing and active permission and participation.

DiversityBusiness’s use of “cookies”

Users also should be aware that non-personal information and data might be automatically collected through the standard operation of DiversityBusiness's Internet servers or through the use of "cookies."  "Cookies" are small text files a web site can use to recognize repeat users, facilitate the user's ongoing access to and use of the site, and allow a site to track usage behavior and compile aggregate data that will allow content improvements and targeted advertising. Cookies are not programs that come onto a user's system and damage files. DiversityBusiness makes chat rooms, forums, message boards, and news groups available to its users. Please remember that any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information.


Security

This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. Access to computer data and files at DiversityBusiness.com are secured by password coding and router access lists. Our network is also behind an industry standard firewall designed to prevent unauthorized access. IP addresses and/or domain names, as well as information about your computer, such as the browser, operating system, and the home server from which you access the Internet are logged to track any user's session. Our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary, and only authorized individuals have access to the information provided by DiversityBusiness.com Members. You, as a DiversityBusiness.com Member, are ultimately responsible for the security of your DiversityBusiness.com username and password. Please take care to store your DiversityBusiness.com username separately from your account password, or better yet, choose a password that you don’t need to write down at all.





Membership Payment & Cancellation

Payment Terms

All payments for registration are due at the time of registration. Payment is via Credit Card only unless you are a sponsor or supporter. Your registration is NOT complete until payment is received.

Setup

Every account has a one time non-refundable setup fee. Following are the details of it.

National Membership Setup Fee : $200 (non-refundable)
State Membership Fee : $100 (non-refundable)

Cancellations

If you must cancel your membership for any reason, we must receive written notice of cancellation. There is a $50.00 processing fee for any refunds which doesn't include the non-refundable setup fee. Memberships that have been regularly accessed may be cancelled at any time, however no monies (registration fees) will be refunded. Cancellation is subject to pro-rating depending on the length of time you have had your membership, and how often you accessed the system. Pro-rating is based upon how often you accessed the system since your registration. If you contact DiversityBusiness.com within one (1) month from the time of your registration, and have not accessed the system since your registration, the registration fee will be completely refunded minus the setup fee and the processing fee. If your cancellation is past one month from the time of your registration and you have not accessed the system since your registration, the amount of the original registration fee refunded will be pro-rated based on a one year time frame, minus the processing fee and setup fee. One time setup fee will not be refunded in any case.

Correcting and Updating Information

Upon request, DiversityBusiness will use reasonable efforts to allow users to update/correct personal information previously submitted which the user states is erroneous to the extent such activities will not compromise privacy or security interests. DiversityBusiness.com also believes strongly in providing you with the ability to access and edit the personal information that you have provided to us. We give users the following options for changing and modifying information previously provided (such as user profiles).
