AT&T Supports Diversity Events

Southport, CT, May 11, 2007 / DiversityBusiness.com /-- AT&T will serve as a co-chair for two major supplier diversity conferences this summer – DiversityNXT, part of the larger NXTcomm conference in Chicago, and the WBENC National Conference and Career Fair in Los Angeles.

Join AT&T at DiversityNXT, held June 18-21, 2007 in Chicago, Ill.! This conference will demonstrate how diverse suppliers can be competitive in the fields of information, communications and entertainment technology. Joan Kerr, Executive Director of Supplier Diversity at AT&T, is a co-chairperson for this event, along with Denise Coley, Supplier Diversity Director for Cisco Systems.
Maureen Merkle, President of Procurement for AT&T, will serve as a panelist during the conference. Members of AT&T’s Supplier Diversity team will be present at the conference to meet with diversity-owned businesses to increase awareness of supplier opportunities available within large communications companies.

WBENC National Conference and Business Fair
Calling all women-owned businesses! The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) will host its 8th annual National Conference and Business Fair on June 25-28, 2007 in Los Angeles, Calif. AT&T and Alcatel-Lucent are corporate co-chairs for this event, which is the largest of its kind to increase contracting opportunities for women-owned businesses.
