Former Aerospace and Defense Executive Launches New Small Business Enterprise in Orlando, Florida |
 Orlando, FL, November 16, 2007/ DiversityBusiness.com /--After 22 years as an executive for two of the world’s largest aerospace and defense companies, Michael A. Bush has resigned his current position with Lockheed Martin (LMCO) to launch Bush Enterprises; a privately held company with businesses in the fields of engineering management and professional services, application software development, and personnel training and development.
Bush, 45, was most recently Corporate Director of Supplier Diversity for LMCO, in charge of the corporation’s small business subcontracting program. During his tenure, the corporation increased its volume of subcontract awards to small and diverse businesses to more than $5 billion annually. LMCO is one the country’s leaders in small business subcontracting, and Bush is recognized as one of the nations most knowledgeable and effective leaders in the fields of small business program management and supply chain management. Bush was also named among the "Top Diversity Advocates in America" by DiversityBusiness.com for his excellent commitment to diversity along with Oprah Winfrey and President Clinton for the year 2007.
Commenting on his decision to launch Bush Enterprises, Bush had this to say:
