Stallings Elected as Secretary of National Association of Women Business Owners
Columbia, MD – July 14, 2008/ -- DiversityBusiness.com /- The National Association of Women Business Owners® (NAWBO®) recently installed Maryland entrepreneur Deborah Stallings, PHR to the position of national secretary. Stallings, president and chief executive officer of Columbia-based HR Anew, Incorporated was officially installed as secretary in June at the organization’s national conference held in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, Stallings shall assure the corporate records, including the minutes of board and executive committee meetings, are properly maintained.

Stallings has served on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Women Business Owners® (NAWBO®) for the last year; and also served as a past president and/or director of NAWBO’s Baltimore chapter since 2001. In addition to her NAWBO experience at the local and national level, Stallings is the founder and past president of the Howard County Human Resources Society; chair of the Howard County Government Personnel Board; chair of the Business Development Council for the Maryland Chamber of Commerce; and also serves on the board of directors for Associated Black Charities and Lincoln Technical Institute. She is certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) by the national Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI), Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
