SDI Provides Unisys with T&M Labor Managed Services for U.S. Locations: Leading Workforce Solutions Firm Delivering Quality-Driven Program
|
Ft. Lauderdale, FL – August 18, 2008/ -- DiversityBusiness.com /- The capability to deliver a best-in-class Managed Services
Program (MSP) was Unisys Corporation’s principal goal when it selected Superior Design International, Inc.
(SDI) in 2007 to lead the Unisys U.S. MSP for Time and Material (T&M) Labor Resources. The program,
designed to streamline management of contract labor suppliers, has helped Unisys realize both process
enhancements and labor cost reductions.
SDI serves as an interface in the U.S. between Unisys, its T&M contract workers, and the suppliers of the
T&M contingent workforce. The MSP, launched in the third quarter of 2007, supports Unisys‘ broad and
diverse requirements for T&M labor in the commercial and public sector markets, as well as internally.
Under the MSP, SDI establishes and manages Unisys associate supplier relationships and provides a
consistent set of policies and procedures for managing T&M contract workers. This enables Unisys internal
organizations to focus on core business concerns. Unisys has also engaged SDI to deliver a Payrolling
Program.
“Increasingly efficient and cost-effective use of contractor services is important for Unisys as we design,
implement and manage best-in-class solutions for our customers,” says Lawrence Wieser, Vice President
of Global Operations, Unisys. “With SDI’s help, our MSP has enabled us to provide the right people at
the best value within the marketplace to meet our clients’ growing solution requirements."
SDI also web-enables the MSP with Work NexusTM—a proven solution designed to administer and
streamline staff augmentation and project management. This 10-year-matured automation is rapidly
becoming the tool-of-choice for many Fortune 500 firms. “Because Work Nexus harmonizes the delivery of
enhanced service integrity, increased productivity, and hard cost savings, its deployment at Unisys was the
natural progression,” says Carmen Castillo, President of SDI. “Today it affords both Unisys and SDI great
visibility into program management.”
