Novation Awards Wristband Contract to LaserBand

ST. LOUIS, Oct 02, 2008 / -- DiversityBusiness.com /- LaserBand, LLC (LASERBAND), the leading global manufacturer of patient identification wristbands, recently signed a three year contract with Novation, the health care industry's largest group purchasing organization (GPO), to provide 2,500 hospitals and other health care organizations with the latest patient identification wristbands and chart labels that improve patient safety, increase workflow productivity, and contain costs.
Effective May 1, 2008, Novation's contracted facilities will have access to all LaserBand products, including the complete line of Original LaserBand(R) and LaserBand2(R) adult and pediatric bands and LaserBand's newest wristband lines -- the Family Band(TM) (a comfortable and long-lasting identification option for babies and their parents) and FusionBand(R) (the first and only self-laminating, direct thermal patient wristband on the market). The comprehensive product selection enables participating facilities to leverage existing print methods, from laser- to thermal-printed, handwritten to embossed.
