Compuware Earns Elite Diversity Award and Eighth Straight '101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For' Designation

DETROIT- January 06, 2009 / -- DiversityBusiness.com /- Compuware Corporation (NASDAQ: CPWR) today announced that it has earned the "diversity and multiculturalism" top honor as part of the "101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For" award program. The program is sponsored by Michigan Business and Professional Association (MBPA), in which Compuware also earned its eighth consecutive overall selection as one of "Metro Detroit's 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For."
MBPA, which represents more than 20,000 businesses and 160,000 employees, annually honors leading Michigan companies--large and small--which are committed to innovative human resource practices that create great places to work. The selection, recognition and awarding of Metropolitan Detroit's 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For allows businesses to showcase their best practices.

Compuware's diversity program is led by a full-time Director of Diversity and includes a corporate diversity statement; targeted diversity outreach, recruitment, mentoring and internships; inclusion training; community outreach and a supplier diversity program. Compuware also has very strong employee-initiated resource groups created around an aspect of common social identity. Current employee resource groups are organized for African American, Chinese, Indian and Latin American cultures, as well as a Compuware Women's Association and a Military Veterans group. These groups help Compuware attract and retain the world's most talented employees, support community initiatives and identify and foster business opportunities.
